Conditions and Cancellation Policy

By pressing I Accept, the applicant declares that they understand and accept the terms and conditions of New Zealand Care's homestay application & cancellation policy.

  • A minimum of 7 days is needed to arrange a homestay. If a homestay is required sooner than 7 days, an emergency placement surcharge fee may be applicable.

  • The homestay arrangement will not commence until the placement fee has been paid.

  • The home stay placement fee & airport pickup fee is not refundable.

  • Homestay fees are refundable if notification of cancellation is received a minimum of 7 days before the start of the accommodation entry date.

  • If notification of cancellation is received less than 7 days before the start of the home stay period, a 10% cancellation fee will be charged.

  • Two weeks(14 days) notice must be given in writing to New Zealand Care if planning to terminate the homestay service. In the event of a sudden termination of services during the accommodation period, and two weeks notice has not been given, homestay fees will be refunded minus a two week sudden termination fee and a cancellation fee of 10% of the residual balance, providing all terms & conditions have been adhered to. GST is not refundable.

  • If a change of homestay is required at any time by the student, it will be a reduced fee of 50% of the original placement fee. Only one reduced fee placement is allowed and after this it is at full placement cost.

  • By filling in the application form and returning it to us, the applicant acknowledges that any details they have provided are accurate and true and no relevant or required information has been intentionally omitted or withheld.
